The first image of this entry shows the
reference material I used to make this font.
It’s a 70’s Kohler logo, with a type i really
liked. That’s why I made and attempt at trying
to draw the entire alphabet. I like the result
it’s a monospaced font with a nice retro look.

LINE_A
This is my attempt at a “BLOCK” typeface.
I wanted to avoid the traditional way block
types are done, and looked for a more
challenging and not so easy to read way of
doing them. That’s why the name of it
LINE_A is, in most cases, a single line crossing
a black space.

BELT
This a “hand made” font that I did some months
ago for a little project. It’s basically the same
belt folded in different ways to make the letters
using the same grid as reference for the size
and height of each of the characters.

ERRE
The first font I’ve ever made, a couple of years
ago, and It’s the first of a series about the relationship
between geometric shapes and letters.
It’s deconstructed to only show the squares, circles
and triangles that make each character.

ISOSIBILIA
Since i’ve first watched an impossible figure or
“imposibilia”as we call them here in Venezuela. I wanted
to do an alphabet using that idea. ISOSIBILIA is my
attempt at that, you could say that it’s an impossible font.
The alphabet has three other forms FULL, ISOMETRIC
and GRAYSCALE. I’m still preparing the file to type with it,

CUBO
A simple excercise of placing a character inside a cube,
nothing more or nothing less. This type could be the start
for an investigation of placing other families inside
a cube, instead of placing them inside squares as the
starting reticule of each character.

NEDO
This set is somehow inspired by the graphic work of
Nedo. M.F. another of the pioneers in the field of graphic
design here in Venezuela. He developed many of the
classic logos of many institutions of the country, included
a whole alphabet for the Museum of Contemporary Art
of Caracas (MAC), this alphabet is in some extent based
in that alphabet. [...]
AUBHAUS
This alphabet started as an excercise, in trying to do
a complete alphabet using only lines and circles.
The idea was to reduce the constructive elements of
each character to a minimum, following (in some
way) the design principle that less is more. The legibility
of the characters is somehow compromised, but the
relationships between the elements of each character

GIAMBATTISTA
I started this font while doing some sketches using the
Bodoni Poster as the type for a class exercise of
typography while studying at Prodiseño. I needed to
remove some of the features of each character
(specifically the thin stroke) and after doing some
tweaking, it ended up with this stencil like appereance.
I’ve never opened the file again until now. [...]
GERD
Gerd Leufert is considered one of the pioneers of graphic
design here in Venezuela. This font is a tribute to his
work and the influence that it has on my personal work.
This typeface was drawn after the logo he designed
for himself. I really don’t know if all of the characters were
developed, or if he made the Caps [...]
TANGRAM
This font was born after playing some Tangram at my
house. I thought it would be cool to try to do the
letters of the alphabet, using the pieces of the game.
So I’ve started to build the letters and take photos
of them. Uppercase and numbers were done, i’m still
struggling with the lower caps. A line, regular and

TRUCTURA
This font was developed as a proposal for the expo of
Venezuela in the Biennale di Venezia of Architecture.
The font tried to reflect the idea of “Modern Architecture”
developed by the Bauhaus, and is suposed to look like
a building, when used in paragraphs. Caps, lowercases,
numbers and some punctuation characters, have been
developed. The font is still under construction.
